Yay! Yay! It’s Pi Day! No, we didn’t overlook the last letter, March 14th really is International Pi day as in 3.14 … So, if you need some great ideas for your own Pi-Day-Pi-Tay, you might want to consider the following:

Feel free to dance along with the music of Pi …

Feel free to gather your friends and put those often overlooked dominoes to good use, or at least time-consuming use …

If you’d like to offer slices of pie to as many of your friends who can recite – from memory – the most digits of the more than one trillion that make up a small part of pi, here’s a  peek at the first million – just to satisfy your curiosity…

And if you’d like to celebrate this very important number while supporting one of the many libraries that are near and dear to WordWrites Guild members’ hearts, you are invited to join the Friends of the Lawrenceburg Public Library for some edible sweet pie (and quiche – the savory twin!), and a mathematical movie – Hidden Figures. The evening begins at 6:00pm in the Ewbank Room of the Lawrenceburg Library. This is a free community, adults-only event, so bring your friends aand join the Friends as they support the library on International Pi Day – March 14th!
