WWG Relocates

Beginning January 3, 2013, WordWrites Guild has a new home, two new homes actually.
On January 3rd, and subsequent 1st Thursdays, we will be meeting in Dunevant #1 at the North Dearborn Branch Library.
Beginning January 17, and subsequent 3rd Thursdays, we will be meeting in the Ewbank #2 at the main Lawrenceburg Public library.
At both locations, we will officially begin a 6:00 PM since the libraries close earlier (8:00) than Ivy Tech. If 6:00 is too early for you, come when you can. We’ll stay until we run out of things to do or talk about, or until they throw us out.

Upcoming Changes

As we approach our six month anniversary, it is time to look forward to 2012. Next year, we are planning to move from our once per month schedule on the third Thursday of each month to first and third Thursdays. This will offer opportunities to critique more work from our authors, and to explore more discussion topics.
We will continue the once a month schedule through December (12/15/2011), and begin the new schedule on January 5, 2012 with a submission deadline of 12/30.
This change of schedule gives us an opportuinty to also discuss other aspects of our group.
- Should we change our venue?
- Alternating locations, e.g. North Dearborn and Lawrenceburg, North Dearborn and Hidden Valley, etc?
- Something totally different, e.g. a restaurant ?
- Should we change the meeting times?
- Suggest special discussion or presentation topics, e.g. dialog tags.
- Suggest guest speakers.
Please offer your suggestions as a comment to this post. We can continue the discussion at our December 15 meeting. But we need to finalize any venue changes at that meeting so we can distribute new posters during the last half of the month.
